Charlie Chan is a frustrated photographer and itinerant Cancer Surgeon from Cheltenham in the UK. Away from treating women with breast cancer, he indulges his passion in photography (along with music, rugby and motorsport).
At work, he likes to embrace the spirit of his patients. Likewise in his photography, he tries to capture the moment and the emotions. He came across his first Leica (M6TTL) in the 1990s and has never looked back. Now he shoots with his M6TTL and M2 as well as two Digital Modul R backs on his R8 & R9.
His pictures have been used by the Cheltenham Jazz, Science and Literature Festivals as well as artists such as Imelda May, Pete Cater, Ruthie Culver & Ronnie Scott's.
Always one for horizon gazing, he is now planning his retirement career as a photographer. Just don’t tell his patients!
